Detlef Hoffmann

Detlef Hoffmann (* 1940), the leading German playing card researcher, wrote in 1972 a book about Playing Cards, which largely distributed and was translated in English language. In the meantime Hoffmann has engaged in various other books, the IPCS-bibliography knows about 20 more other texts, some of them include topics to Tarot. In the early time of the IPSC he was the 2nd president from 1974 - 1977 after Sylvia Mann in the years 1972 - 1974.
Detlef Hoffmann is professor (i.R.) for the history of art in Oldenburg.
