Perugia
- In the Statuta Augusta Perusie, Perusia 1523, the statutes of the city Perugia in the year 1425 are
reported in the Rubr. 182 of the 3rd book with the title "Contra ludentes et ludum tenentes seu receptantes".
In this very long and careful ordonance, however, only the use of dice is prohibited, chess and
boardgame (with dices) are allowed. At the end of the text a short note is added, in which is told of
LUDUS NAYBORUM seu CARTARUM and pointed to the "Statuti sancti Bernardini", which are added at the
end of the 3rd book (p. 62 ff.) in full text and as §§ 206 - 212 included in the city law.
As San Bernardino
was sanctified in the year 1450, the passage should have been addded not before this date.
